Notice issued by Isle of Man Financial Services Authority

Notice issued by Isle of Man Financial Services Authority

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (the “Authority”) is contacting all professional scheme administrators registered under the Retirement Benefits Schemes Act 2000 and corporate trustees in the Island who act by way of business in relation to schemes registered under that Act to advise them that the Authority has prepared some information to raise consumer awareness about pension scams and risky pension investments.

The information has been published in the consumer awareness section of the Authority’s website at www.gov.im/iomfsa/Consumer/pensionscams.xml.  The consumer awareness information has also been produced in the form of printed leaflets which will be available shortly from the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading, various libraries around the Island and the Manx Citizens Advice Service.
